    starting cold big problem

I've been getting frustrated with the fact that my 69 El Camino wont start when cold. I have reason to believe that it's not pulling oil and fuel to the carb b/c when i pour either a little bit of gas or a little bit of starting fluid into the card she cranks right up if not right up then 2 or 3 tries afterward. Any suggestions how to get it to start right up when cold would be appreciated

What kind of carb, and what type of choke are you running on it? Unless your carb is leaking very bad out the float bowls, there should be fuel in the carb when the engine is cold....
