Mustang build
I'd like to build a 65 or 66 2+2 Mustang. I'm new at this and so far found that I'd need a donor car. It seems to me that donors are either junk or pricey. What I'd like to do is build from the ground up with a frame not a uni-body like the originals. Any of you know where I can start? I've found almost everything I'd need but a frame and since I have a 460 I'd like to put in it I'm worried about the strength of a 50 year old piece of sheet metal.

Probably going to have to have a frame fabricated.... There are some companies making rails for Mustangs that are normally used for drag cars and tubbed cars... With some frame ties and reinforcing the old Unibody works fine. I've done a number of the old Mustangs, there's lots of alternatives as to how to build and reinforce them.....mostly limited only by the size of your check book!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
