Chassis number plate
I recently traded a 29 Sedan for a 48 2 door coupe. The seller handed me the title and a chassis number plate.
The original vin number plate that is normally on the firewall is not their because the firewall was changed for a smooth one for the SBC conversion.
I need to attach this plate somewhere for the title change. DMV wants to see it on the car at their office.
This is in Oregon.
Thank you for any help.

Like I said in the PM, check out those sites I sent but the only thing I can think of is an easy to read part in the FRONT of the chassis somewhere. My 48 does not have one and the original location of it I do not know because now I have a front sub frame put on and there is NO VIN on this thing.www.streamlineautocare.com

Oh and BTW, be sure to post some pictures of your 48. It should be a fairly easy project to gather parts for since there are so many of them around and many sites with information on them. www.carnut.com has LOTS of pictures of them and so does www.my48chevy.com (which actually they have schematics on there for frame mounting and such so they might have the VIn location).
Good luck!www.streamlineautocare.com

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
