    If it will help and you recognise what I describe, I can start you in the right direction. There is a spring loaded tab that is part of the cylinder assembly protruding through the aluminum column housing. I see it in your pic but am not able to point to it. It needs to have a thin screw driver (flat) inserted aginst it to let the mechanism release to slide the cylinder out, just as though it had the screw retaining it. Find it, push it in (sometimes a bit stiff to push in) and wiggle the cylinder outward.

    I think he is talking about that little slot you see, a small flat screwdriver will push the pad in on the lock and allow the cyl to slid out.

    can you just take the title to GM dealer for a key made?

    did this on my 93 caprice

    I had very little trouble replacing my key assembly. The lock plate and c ring was a devil to get back. i used my faucet set (plumbing) socket to compress the mess. and then set the ring with a screw driver.
