throttle cable??
Hey guys, need a throttle cable for the truck. Not sure which one to get, Summit lists a bunch by lokar in different lengths, do i just get a string and measure out the path it'll take? It is on the 51' F1, going to a holley carb on top of the 429. anybody recommend something other than the lokar or is that a good one to go with?

The Lokar I just used on my T is adjustable by cutting off what you don't need. I bought a 24 inch and ended up using like 7 inches. Easy to cut and use. BTW, I used their bracket kit too, and it almost bolted right on.
Lokar makes nice stuff.

What Don said. Lokar's linkage is easy to cut and very adjustable. The fittings fit perfectly. Measure with a string or piece of wire, then allow some extra length.
Geez, Don. I really, really like that engine.Jack

And another comment, make sure you get the good bracket that Don shows, if you look carefully there is a small stop screw that butts to the carb base that keeps the bracket from rotating. There are some cheapo copies out there that don't have the stop screw.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
