Help/Pics of your brake system
I am starting to think about the brake system on the 37 Cadillac. I have an underfloor mount brake booster and pedal assembly. I am fairly certain this assembly will need significant modification as it is for a 37 Chevy and not the Cadillac. The front suspension and disc brakes are from a 71 camaro and the rear drum brakes are from the same donor 71 camaro. I have never plumbed a brake system before, but if I can get the booster assembly installed I should be able to complete the rest.
I was hoping you all might have pictures of similar brake setups or general good advice. Thanks in advance.

Is there anybody out there?
I was thinking some more about the brake system and the parts I will need and had some questions:
1. What diameter hard line should I use?
2. Can I use aluminum tubing?
3. Are residual valves usually flare fittings or AN?
I have also confirmed that mounting the underfloor brake booster/pedal assembly will require some significant fabrication.
Thanks in advance for your help, and I would still be very interested in pictures of a similar setup.

37 not a specialist here but i know 3/16 is the size line you want to use.
Allways use steel for brake lines aluminum is too soft a metal for pressures involved.
Your valve should be set up with NPT so you can install any type fitting for brakes .
Here is a link to some great info

bluestang and bentwings,
Thank you so much. Every bit of information I can egt my hands on is extremely helpful. The body is coming off the frame next weekend, if I can get enough guys here to help lift it. Once the body is off I will have much better access to get the brakes squared away.
BTW, bentwings, Is there supposed to be a hose on that barb? If so, where would the other end go?
Thanks again.
Thanks guys! One more trip around the sun completed. Lots of blessings and things to be thankful for (like still being able to type this message!!) Here's to us "over 70 guys.." Glenn
