I was told that they all look around 30's-40's that they all have big fenders and so on.. lol Thats how the kid described them.. He says there all in awesome shape like they where driven there and parked..I was also told I dont know how true this is that the house was seized by the gov. Regaurdless Im going to take a trip out there I think this weekend and have a look myself.. If its worth while whats the best way to go about this ? I dont want to up and just steal the cars I would like to obtain them legally..

So whats the story on the cars in the barn....have you found out what they are??

i saw this thread when it was first posted, and have been very curious ever since to know whats in there, i love these kinds of stories. A very good friend of mine found my 1949 ford custom tudor like that......he saw just a piece of the fender as he was driving by out in lake tahoe....went to talk with the guy and ended up draging that 49 out and also scored a 1956 ford little rear window truck too, both of them for around 600$.....recently he just found a 1951 and a 1957 lincoln......this guy gets friggin lucky finding old cars and boats...............their out there
If it aint broke, fix it till it is.

Thats what im saying! you never know what you will find.....
One of my favorite past times is driving around looking for old cars, and houses.
I have done this for years and have yet to be shot, chased off, or even threatened....

its amazing, if anyone comes around walk up with a smile, shake their hand and say i was curious about the car/house and was wondering if you were interested in getting rid of it. thats all it takes, if they say no, say thank you and walk away,

I have never been met with a gun thats for sure, I live in very rural nebraska....

and to all you that own cars or houses, that are left unattended, why not write a little note, and stick it some where saying, either your not interested in selling house or car, or leave a postal address they could reach you to inquire, if your afraid of someone showing up at your door, get a po box. yearly fees are cheap enough.

If you lived in the end,of the town I live in you just might think that is 'a criminals reverse psychology talk' and that 2007 is the year that it needs to be stepped up.MATTER OF FACT,,,,had a cop tell me within the past week,(true story here),that if my neighbor wants to bring his saw, come in my yard and cut my entire tree down, the cops can't do a thing! "THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS" was written by men much more intelligent than these hireling political wastes we have today!
Fact is,if it doesn't put the city at risk or liability here,,,,,criminals and terreriosts,,,just do your thing at will,,,,this town is sad!
Anyone get as sick as I do at these 'well wishers' social guru's,that think that all society needs is to 'evolve' and become more civilized and we won't even need a peashooter? They refuse to wake up and face REALITY of how it really is,really has always been, and really will always be,and blame such sensible, factual, and realistic talk as I am putting forth as a tirade of an uneducated hatemonger
No,I know better.Don't pacify and rationalize criminal actions, prosecute and punish them swiftly.Trespassing is wrong. If the shooter is wrong, prosecute him,but the trespasser should be 'paid for' or allow trespassing everywhere and all the time.[/QUOTE]

But am I the only that finds it a little ironic that I got corrected for saying the P word but yet its ok to constantly preach violence n a public family board. Talk is cheap and unneseary violence with a weapon is even cheaper and cowardly.. You havent ever looked at a man from any amount of distance in any sito and had to pull the trigger. Because if u have we wouldnt be having this converstation right now..

If a man comes into your yard and does anything to it in a negative way thats called destruction to property.. Which is a punishable offense wether or not its just a fine and not jail time. Let alone suiable also.. So what ever police officer u spoke to is either one or 2 things full of it or lazy. Or probally both .. I dont have respect for either and I have a hard time dealing with the law.. SHORT STORY BARE WITH ME.. When I came home from the service I bought a Chevy and dumped all my money in to it and had parts for it on the way .. I was driving downa a 4 lane rd when all of a sudden a tahoe police unit came ramping out of the parking lot from the side and smashed into me while I was doing about 65mph.. I slamned into the windshield head first . Broken the mirror off with my mouth . My shoe laces some how got tied around the brake peddle keeping from going all the way through .. I slide down the rd sideways until I stopped then was t-boned by another car and my head went throught the driver side window.. The police allowed the cars right behind us to leave and the ones further up the rd to make statements that the cameup on the wreck with smashed cars and lights on making it lookas if he had them on the entire time.. I hired a out of town lawyer who later dropped the case because I ws leaving for afghanastan.. I lost my car and a buttload of military money . Because a police officer couldnt fess up to his wrong doing while protecting the public while I was sent over seas to lay my life on the line to protect his..
All in all . I value life with a extreme amount of heart and I give everyone the up most respect.. But wether its talk or action about taking a life or doing something that has the pontential to I have no respect for that nor from where its coming from.. Anyone man enough to point a gun at a unarmed man for stepping in his yard is a terrorist.. I joined this board because of the passion I have for cars and to learn more.. So when ever I get a chance Ill find this farm and find the owner and see if he has the same passion for cars or if he thinks there junk and wants to sell them .. Until then Im done arguing about values and repect.

Values and respect, what a novel notion. It's my humble opinion that many of this younger generation have neither, for themselves or anybody else and/or their property.

If I wanted to talk about war and guns, I'd go down to the VFW and talk with the other Vietnam guys. Being shot at is really awful. Shooting a person is also really awful. Is this a forum about Hot Rod's? If so, find out who owns the property and let us know what you find. I scored a barn 57 Chevy Hardtop Bel Air, but it wern't cheap! Still, they are out there, and a joy to all of us when something cool is discovered.

    Let us know!
