23t bucket question
I'm ready 4 some gears n my 23t, car has a hot 230ci inline 6, w2800stall on a 700r4. I want the first 3 gears hot... od is just so I can drive 65mph when on hwy(no more than nessary) just what does it take ta get her ta hook? Is it possible ta run in the 10s, the car weighs just under 1700lbs.Car has a 9in rear on 31 splines,tires are MT 31tall/15wide. Any info will be app. Ty. nt4n

Given the specs you have provided, and your very tall rear tires, I think you need something in the 4:30 or 4:56 range.
As for 10's.........how hot is this 6? I think that 10's would be overly optimistic. I'm thinking more like the 13-14 second range, if everything is right. I have a pretty well built 460 Ford that I am thinking about slipping into a little drag altered some day, and the 10 second bracket is what I would be shooting for and happy with using that engine. It takes some serious HP to get a car down the track in that range. I know some racers have built 6's to run strong, but it takes a lot of work to get them there.
