    As I remember, the NBFA (National Barn Find Association) specifically states that you have to follow the following rules.

    To qualify as an official barn find, the finder must:
    1. Actually see the referenced find in person; no second party claims will be accepted
    2. Be able to return to the find (no blindfolds can be used)
    3. Take and share at least two pictures of the "find" vehicle in its natural state

    Otherwise, if you dreamed it, found it while intoxicated, wished it, heard about it, read it on the internet, etc., it is not a real barn find.
