what rear end is this?
does anyone know what kind of rear end this is?
all i know is its 5 lug and has a 12 bolt cover, i looked on ringpinion.com but didnt see any rear ends that matched it,

some sort of mopar? passenger car definately ,pull the cover and measure the ring gear that might help a little

Should be able to measure the bolt circle on the hubs to narrow the id down. Most cars/trucks have specific bolt circle measurements and all are nearly different with the exception of some Fords and Mopars. Once you determing the make based on the bolt circle then you can try to find out what it is out of.Bob

You can do a little process of elimination and avoid some of this seemingly contradictory guessing by measuring the bolt circle of the axle studs. It looks to be fairly "tight", but then my calibrated eyeballs are as well calibrated as they once were. Anyway, if it's a 4 1/2" circle that eliminates GM, if it's 4 3/4 that eliminates Ford, Mopar, AMC, If it's 5", well back to the drawing board. If it's a 4" circle it's small Mopar such as Dart/Valiant.
Is there no tag on it with any kind of numbers?

I know GM used a 5" cause that's what my Olds has, and some old Fords were 5.5". Not sure about Mopars, only had a few of them in my life.
BTW, Bob where is Maple Valley in relation to Seattle??

well it came with a ramcharger when this guy bought it
and the only numbers i found on it were this,

The axle in the pic is correct side up, the spring pads are on the top of the axle
