30 degree valve job?
Anyone have experience with 30 degree valves vs. the 3 angled 45? Theoretically it should lift off the seat more aggressively for the same stem travel over the 45 deg.'s

yes 15 30 45 60 65 then i hand blend all to 45 in front and in back of the 45 roll the EX margin on valve . back angle the valves but first i hand lap them to see the 45 stops but this just mark s them makes it easier to work on them i set were i want the valve to hit on the 45 when i do the valve job i use stones to do this have cutter to the ruff then in and finish with stones i run the intake 45 at 060 and the ex hair bit bigger i run them on the intake up to the top of the 45 on the face of the valve and on the ex 3/4 the way up the valve face then cut just be hind it with another angle 30/35 this is how i do it. right or wrongLast edited by pat mccarthy; 10-17-2007 at 08:16 PM.

30 degree valves don't seal as well as 45's, there's less crush effect to squeeze carbon out of the way. There is a slight flow gain to be had, but the work to change over is not worth it.
Thanks guys! One more trip around the sun completed. Lots of blessings and things to be thankful for (like still being able to type this message!!) Here's to us "over 70 guys.." Glenn
