I'd call that progress..................Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

After a few days drying time had to bring some stuff back int to protect from rain storm, that didn't fit in storage unit. So I wanted to do insulation in the walls and the big long shelf put in with too many nails to count by former owner needed to come down. After insulating that wall called a retired Electrician buddy and had him come over to talk about adding some extra plug sockets on the insulated wall and more importantly a 50amp 240 v line to a small hot tub that has been running on 15amp/120v socket for far too long! So I tore down the cabinet which was also here when I bought this place.
When I was insulating I wasn't sure I could afford to do the electrical work, as the 6 gauge 3 wire romex with a long run from box to hot tub is about $500.00 alone. But decided now's the time to get this done. The insulated wall has a channel cut to add romex thru for some more 120v outlets that are easily accessible still, so that's why I stopped that for now until I heard from Gary. After he retired last Christmas, and said he needed a break, I wasn't sure if he'd be willing to do this, but it's a go now.
Now that some random drywall and cabinets are off back wall, It gave us access to the breaker box and the wiring. After all that is done dry wall will be going up, ant then painted. Feels good to get this all done. I'm just keeping some tools in garage and the laundry stuff for now as I want to seal the top of the concrete with Sodium Silicate. It dries clear and helps prevent corrosion to rebar in cement as well as hardens it too, and seals the cement with a waterproof(hopefully oil too) barrier.. The sealing has to wait for slab to completely cure over the course of 1 month.

Here are some better photos showing after pour, and the side shelf by garage door rail, as well as the back wall before tearing all that stuff down. Better view of the electric panel and you can see a gas pipe after the dry wall was removed with the cabinet. That area will have a drywall, easy to remove, panel for access to gas pipe, as will the area above and around the electric panel.
And another shot of the now exposed gas line

Wow, that new flor is so much nicer! My garage needs that vapor barrier too. My floor sweats like mad when I don't have the AC unit in there. The truck looks great with the fenders on and those walls will be much nicer with insulation and drywall. I'm also glad to hear Wednesday is doing great!Ryan

Yes insulation, wiring and dry wall done. Just treated the floor with Ghostshiled 4500
This has to cure for 7 days, then the next product GHostshiled 8510 sealer that keeps water on the surface not in cement if water, salt or oil gets on the floor. Nice if the washer decides to leak ect...

Great article that goes into detail of different finishes for cement agarage floors, @ https://www.garageflooringllc.com/ they go into alot of different options and have detailed sheets of using different products like the above floor penetrating sealants that I am using. The pictures below are the garage after the densifier 4500 product is applied. I did one side one day moved all the stuff to the other side a few days later and now the count down starts for 7 days curing ime before the 8510 can be applied. That will be much easier as everything can go out side in drive way. It is much faster drying and stuff doesn't have to be left out over night.

Thanks Ryan. Wednesday has a tumor that is scheduled for surgery on the 27th. They will check for cancer from the removed tumor. She is well though and seems happy!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I finished the garage as far as I wanted, painting the new drywall with primer then paint. No taping or mud due to time schedule and storage fees. I think it will do well enough for now. Today I feel I finally regained a new garage, back in 2006 I built a new garae on my old house. Divorce in 2015 ended that treasured spot, so here we are 6 years after moving into my new home and I finally have a blank slate to work with once again! It's not as big nor does it have a bunch of plug sockets but it's making me smile! Today is move in and organize the space day!
