hi! I usually dont give alot of advice on this site because there are some pretty smart guys and gals that know alot more about alot of the stuff than I do.but I did work in a radiator shop for 10 years from 1982- 1992. I repaired and recored 1000s of radiators like you are refering too. most cars with v-8 with air cond. used a 3 row radiator .that radiator should flow approximately 29- 32 gallaons a minute and cool any mildly modified 350-400 sbc.most bbc used a 4 row radiator.just something to think about the thicker a radiator the less efficient the added rows are due to ambient heat around the cooling fins.a recored 3 row radiator (im guessing would cost approximately 165 - 190 bucks) or many auto parts stores sell complete radiators for near the same price.aluminum rads may be a bit higher

I got a retro fit Be Cool radiator for my 65' Biscayne with a BBC, $500. Motor was a 60 over 454 with a big cam. Used a BBc air conditioning thermo clutch fan with a shroud. Car ran at 190 in the summer.
