    New Finned Valve Covers HELP!

I need some help. I just recently purchased a set of vintage finned cast aluminum Edelbrock Valve Covers. I paid a little more than what I planned on spending, but they were something I always wanted. Great shape, recently media blasted.

On my current set up, (SBC) I'm running a push in breather on one side and a PCV valve on the other. The new Edelbrock covers have 1 slotted hole that accepts the twist on oil filler cap or I'm assuming; twist on breather. There is a baffle plate under each hole.

My question, can I use a twist on breather for the passenger side and a twist on oil cap on the other? There is a blank where I can drill a hole for the pcv valve. Or is it possible to buy a twist in pcv valve unit instead of the oil cap? Is this something I can fab if it's not available?

    You're help is greatly appreciated.

Most of those were desinged for a intake oil fill tube/vent.......
You could use one side as pvc/oil fill and the other side as a fresh air intake,so that both sides of the covers get cleared out.

Let me dig fort some links I have......
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

So, if I understand you correct, what you are saying is can I install 1 twist in breather on one side and a solid twist in oil cap on the other, then drill a hole for the pcv grommet; correct?

    Thanks

It's a bit unclear in your initial description. You have a hole in each cover already? There are "rubber" grommets that are made to go in the notched hole typically meant for a twist in cap. So if you used those you could do the same as your current setup, no third hole necessary. If you can't find them (I think Moroso makes some if not others) let me know, I may have some in my loft.

Bob...here is the URL for the covers I purchased. Is there a rubber grommet that large to cover the hole and reduce down to the size of a pcv valve?

Then just use the other breather for a fill.......
""No no holes drilled"" ,they make a fitting to use the oil fill on one side as the pvc also ,just cant find the link........,but what Bob posted will work fine ,just use the best one for oil fill and the obstructed one for the grommet and pvc.
One will be pass front /the other ,drivers rear.
I just looked at the pic you posted ,there would be no problem drilling on that flat area ,since its already there either............if it made install and routing look better and was simpler to use.....you definatly have options with those covers.
