Vacuum line What's best???
51 Chevy 3/4 ton. My cab and bed are off and will be ready to put back on in two or three weeks (fingers crossed) and most everything I can do at this point is done except the brake booster vacuum line. I don't want to just run a rubber hose. Is there a "cooler" hook up than a rubber hose for this?

I have the same problem on my T. I'm going to run 3/8" hard line for most of it and use short hoses at the ends.
I did the same thing on my 46. There is a hard line on the engine that runs over the rear of the block and down close to the frame. A short piece of hose makes the jump to the frame and hard line runs back to the booster. Another short hose conects the hard line to the booster.
The hard line can be regular steel(like fuel line) or stainless. Make sure you use vacuum rated hose and be sure to use clamps.
Hope this helps. Sorry I don't have pictures.
