I have seen guys use wheel barrows for the trans hump/firewall.......as crude as it sounds ,it works and looks rather well...........Think of the view looking at the wheel barrow from the front standing on its wood handles.............. I saw the finished product and it looked very nice .......though it would be much cheaper and probably quicker to just buy the pre formed metal one ,if you need metal,if not the fiberglass mold style will get you the correct clearance for your application and let you make the most out of foot room available.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

It was a Gennie, but he sold it on Ebay and is going to do something else. Not sure what yet.

I don't knwo if they make a preformed one, it is a C6 transmission in a 51' Ford F1 with a Lokar shifter on it. I don't have access to a roller (and my metalworking skills are in there infancy) so I figured I'd do mine with sides angled in and then a flat top (will accommodate the boot for the sifter better with a flat top).

I like the way your son did it Itoldyouso, that might work for me. I can't do the rolls like that of course, but the rod would probably help me a lot.

Thanks guys, this is great. I wish one of you lived close enough that I could come over with a case of beer and watch how some of this gets done.
