    Bear Claws Latches?

Where is a good place to buy bear claws at? Besides Autoloc brand (long story)

And would I have to buy the install kit too?

And is anyone using the power bear claws latches? What do you think of them?

    Thanks everyone

Hey Harmon, lots of people sell the bear claws. I just bought a kit from Electric Life for my 37 Ford. I got the power bear claws but ended up having to separate the actuators from the latch because there wasn't room to clear the window channel in the door with the actuators attached. Depending on what car you're putting them in, you may find the installation kit worth the money. Here's a link to my thread showing some of my progress. Hope this helps.

    Hey Harmon,
I pulled up a 56 Dodge pickup online last night and from the looks of those doors you probably have room to use the power bear claws if you want. The only difference between the power ones and regular is that they have attached a bracket with the actuator directly to the latch. If there isn't room you can easily remove the bracket from the latch and mount it elsewhere in the door and operate it with a cable or rod. I would suggest that you also buy a kit with a manual release cable or rig one up yourself just in case you're stuck sometime with a dead battery.
    Good luck.....

    Thanks Randy

I wasnt planning on using an actuator, still in the air, I just noticedthe bearclaws with them built in an thought about just using a remote buttom like up under the bed or something...My plan was just to use manual cables with the stock inside handle, and a remote cable/rod on the outside...Heck I dont even know if Im shaving the door handles...

My biggest thing is I really want to upgrade to the bear claws, I dont have alot of trust in the factory latches...

    Thanks for all your help
    Harmon
