If not on the door jamb or on the end of the door, it should be stamped on the frame rail someplace.... Some of the old chebbie guys might be able to help you with a location.
Some of the post-war cars were built at the end of one year, then do to sales slumps held over and titled as the next years model. Or possibly once upon a time someone in the court house was one key off in typing the year on the title..... At one time I had an '84 Vette that the year on the title said '83, the year they didn't build Vette's!!!!! After all these years, hard to say. Finding and verifying the VIN IMO is your first step in sorting out the situation.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

3 pass coupe - stylemaster
silver grey green
Grey striped pile fabric
Vin will also be stamped or sometimes on a tag on the frame by the brake master cylinder, gonna be hard to find but it is there.. door jamb is where the main tag should be... your title should not have EK or EJ on it as the starting charecters, those are 4 a 1947, yours is a '48 so that would be a problem as the vin was taken
from another car. it should be FJ for passanger stylemaster. as long as those id charecters are correct, I would not worry. my '51 Chevy is titled as a '50, all because of how they titled them back then, titled in the year sold. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
