Exhaust Manifold bolts
Hey all. Just have a quick question. I just got my 302 back from the shop, completely rebuilt. The exhaust manifolds are not attached yet. Was looking at the bolts and studs. They look very rusty. Was just wondering if these bolts and studs are anything special and what care should be taken on installing them? Just in case I ever have to remove them.
Thanks
Steve

I've used regular grade 5 bolts many times on manifolds with good results. You can put some anti seize compound on them to make it easier to get them out at some future time.

You can Loc Tite any that are a problem with becoming loose too otherwise that 1 or 2 will drive you nuts. And don't know why, but they seem to get rusty looking on all engines. There is no substitute for cubic inches
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
