    Power Windows in Model A

Well I'm trying to get the doors back together on my 30 Fordor and i'm thinking of power windows for it but don't know if I'll have space issues. The doors will have hidden hinges cuz the stock ones were junk so i don't know if they will interfere or not. Anybody out there done this before and can give me any tips Thnks for any help. Sean

I like the Dakota Digital power windows. Good heavy duty motor and tracks, decent switches and wiring. There's cheaper ones on the market, but guess I don't mind spending a bit more when I know it's a good product...... If you want to get fancy, they also sell a remote operating box and buttons that can operate up to 7 different functions!!! Really nice.

Do you think a '97 would be the same?? I found one for parts here in town, thinking for my 27 T.

    Sorry to jump in.

I've never had much luck with junk yard stuff for electrics.... Seems most of it works about 3 times then it's back to the yard for a replacement!!!!! Nothing worse then getting a project all done then spend a month messing around with a bunch of old used stuff..... Takes a few more bucks to get the new stuff, but at least it will hold together...if you buy the good pieces.
For me it kind of comes down to price vs. value.....

Some of the units i have seen in SR mag look like they move in the track straight up and down . I have never studies the power units from a modern vehicle .

Denny can you post a pic of the Explorer unit it may be a good way and i too like the price . There designed to pick up a much heavier glass .
