Does this sound right, alternator company?

I bought a alt from a company and could not get it to charge correctly. They told me it was the pulley so they sent me a smaller pulley. I changed the pulley and had the same low charge and voltage drop in gear. I then told them I was sending it back so they could check it and they said that they would except it but they were sure it was my vehicle. I sent it back and they did not reply so I asked them what the deal they said they were going to make adjustments and ship out. No real explanation of anything. OK, I e-mailed them again a day later asking if it got shipped and they said they were fixing it and going to ship it again. They then sent me the tracking number. OK , I e-mailed them back and asked what problems if any were found. Heres what I got.

alt was working on test machine but whenever we have a problem with a
customer getting output at idle we change stator and rotor to a
    different
wind that will increase out put at idle. you should get exactly what
    you
    need now.

The alt was working all the time I had it , it just wasn't putting out what I paid for ,14 volts and 200 amps. Either way I give them a 100 score for there customer service. They were never rude and answered my 20 e-mails almost immediately. I take that back I will give them a 100 score if I see a huge jump in output when I get it installed They never said it but I think they did find a problem with there alt but stated they were just making adjustments. What say you?

Got the alt back and installed, still chargeing low. I told the guy I would have to get it check out here in town to see if maybe its my truck, didn't really have a problem with stock. AND, the plug doesnt really fit ,its not broke , just dont think the its the correct one on the alt.

Took it to the alt shop this morning and the guy said the alt was fine. Said low voltage at idle was normal with a 200 amp I guess if I dont stop the truck I should be fine.
