    Gauges ordered/seat getting picked up...

Hey Guys, big Rick is back, and that means things are in full swing. He has about two months he figures before going back to the P.I. and wants to see if we can't get this thing on the road so he can finally drive it.

when he gets going he wants everything on hand ahead of time. I went to junkyard and found good set of 94 ford Ranger seats. he is picking them up today. I just ordered the gauges from classic instruments (after putting together full packages they didn't seem that much higher than everybody else and we liked their design/size option.) the F1 had two large gauges, speed and 4-n-1, I think they run about 4.5-4.7/8 the holes that is (I'm hoping these'll drop right in without me having to patch and redrill"). here are the ones I ordered.

I added the 125 dollar option to have the turn signal and hi-beam indicators in the face of the speedtachular.

Next call is Ron Francis for two way sockets for the parking light to turn signal conversion and the wiring harness to get everything hooked together (the guy had converted to 12volt and had everything working, but we are adding airconditioning and a few other things).

I've gotten lots of help here guys, I really appreciate it. I'll keep you all posted on the progress.

[edit] ps, I got the curved lenses.

Red I like their guages. They are pricey, but seem to be very good quality. What year is the F1 they are going into. My 48 has only one style insert aftermarket that I can find and it is set up for one big speddo and four small temp, oil, fuel, etc... guages. Did you guys fabricate your own insert? Post a pic.

It's a 51', I'm going to try to put these right into the existing holes in the dash. worst case I am going to have to fill the holes and cut new ones. I'll set them in there and take some pics this week, they should be here on Friday. they seem a bit higher than others, but by the time you add all the senders too they aren't that bad, at least that is the pitch I made to my uncle.
