New Seats for the old 72 Vette today.
Spent all of today modifying some slide rails for the 72 Vette. If you buy the corvette slide rails there $500 bucks for each side, just the rails.
If you want the seats too that’s another $750 for each side. $2500 for both seats with rails.
And the 72 Vette seats are junk, no support and the fall apart after a couple of years.
So I went to Pep boys and bought 4 racing seats for $125 each and they came with the rails.
Two for the Vette and two for the 65 Ranchero. Today I pulled the rails off two of the seats, and welded 2 in. flat bar to them and bolted them in the Vette.
Looks like they were made for the Vette. They are a little taller but thats alright more support. And I only spent $250 plus a couple of bucks for the flat bar.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
