    Plate reader

Have any of you guys seen this? It's an automated license plate scanner for police cars that runs the plates for stolen cars as the cop car drives by them.Very slick.

Have not seen any cars with those cameras on them, I wonder if they just deploy them in high theft areas.

The one they showed us at the show the cameras were in the light bar... one forward and one to the right that they could also use on parked cars

That is really cool, anything they can do to stop these lowlifes is terrific. I love it when they use those "bait cars" and the idiots try stealing them and get caught!!

I met this girlfriend of a freind of mine recently. She and her brother were a bit wild as kids. They got a big suitcase and put a bob cat in it(as kids). They then left the suitcase unattended at a greyhound station. Sure enough a guy comes wondering by a few times, looks around and takes the suitcase. They follow him outside as he jumps in a car and takes off. About half way up the street the car slams on it's brakes and 3 guys come tearing out of the car! I guess they were curious what they got away with, opened the case to one pissed off cat, and decided to run for their lives!
When she first told the story we were howling! It's funny because I take Pretzel with me on parts runs, and nobody goes near the truck with him in there. What they don't realize is that he'd give them the keys if they gave him a biscuit!
