Need a little help with my rear end, drag strip.

Actually I dont have it yet but could use a little help to choose what I need, this is for my vega. This will be a drag strip only car but have a few options to choose from like spline count and what "they" call big end or little end? This rear end could and will likely be used with a four link and high horse power in the future but for now about 500-600 horse power will be used.

Think they're probably talking about the axle housing ends on the 9" Fords, there are big and small ends. The bigger the bearing, the more load (abuse) it will take. I'd suggest a 9" Ford with a full spool and aftermarket axles, Currie, Moser, Strange, etc.... A 35 spline axle should do it, to be sure and to have in the future should you add some horsepower might want to spend the big bucks and get the 40 spline axles now.

ford 9 s small end 28 to 31 and big end i have used 35 to 40 for the carrier you want the 3.250 bearing carrier for the big axles . the 31 will take alot of power but 35 will not cost any or very little more so i would go with them is this what you wanted?
