Thanks, Gary. After 4+ years of working on this, we're finally ready to shoot some primer on it. I'm cleaning up half the garage to hang plastic and we're going to shoot it over the holiday weekend. I went and bought all the paint, primer, etc to do the whole car today. Going with a 95 Porsche color; Grand Prix White. Also got my Lokar shifter mounted so I can measure where to cut the whole in the floor.

Thanks guys, I'm so ready to see some color on this thing even if it is primer gray. We were taping the body last night and talking about what life was like when this car was coming off the assembly line. WWII had only been over a short time, rock n roll hadn't been invented, if you were gay it meant you were happy and a pair of boobs referred to a couple of dumb guys. Times sure have changed.....

Yup, even primer can look good after you've been seeing it bare for so long. The finished product? That seems a long way off but it will get there.

I usually can only do body work for so long, then I've got to get some primer on it just to see how things are coming along!!! I end up doing the whole thing a couple times with high build primer and lots more blocking!!!! Looks a bunch better, Falcon! Shooting primer is the easiest part of the job, but it sure looks like you got a lot done when you shoot it!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

There's definitely a lot to do before it's painted; the plan is to wet sand the firewall and rear wheelwells, go ahead and paint them, and then mount it back on the frame. I can start figuring out things like running wiring, wipers, dash layout, etc, while Kyle is working on the decklid, doors, hood, fenders, etc and getting them ready for primer.

You have done some really nice work on this. I'm not looking forward to the firewall/floor work on mine, but seeing what you've been able to do gives me hope.

You know it's funny, when I look at my 37 I sometimes have the same thoughts. All the history the poor old thing has seen to get here.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

No kidding, Mike. if they could talk, they'd have some stories to tell. Everything I've seen you put together is exceptionally well done. I'm sure your floor on your 37 will be the same. That's going to be one B A ride when your done.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
