    needing brake booster

whats going on guys i just have a few questions i hope some of you hot rod guys can help us rookies out with.. I really dont drive what you consider a "hot rod" but hey its custom.. I have a 2000 S-10 and im doing the work myself but i have a brake question.. I was wondering if you really need a brake booster on the truck? What i would like to do it move the master cylinder to the back of my frame and get rid of the brake booster so my fire wall is completely smooth with maybe two lines coming out one for brakes, one for clutch. If there is such an animal so i can do this please let me know if not is there a way i can just move the booster to the back as well?? Any help would be great because i would like to get this all figured out before i go and do something stupid.

    Goober,
What I've seen a lot of guys do is they keep the brake booster. They weld a bar in underneath the drivers seat to the frame, the whole brake setup is turned around backwards, then they take the brake pedal, turn it upside down and put it through the floor. They have a bar underneath that they have support the pedal, now they weld a rod to the bottom side of the pedal arm or what used to be the top side ( a piece of flat bar). They drill a hole in that and bring an adjustible rod back, now when they press on the brake pedal it presses on the master cylinder which is mounted underneath the floor board of the drivers seat. The master cylinder comes up through the floor a little, you can always put a cover over it. That's the way I've seen them do it.

that spanaird works alot in my car, he does my brakes, steering and even my windows.
I agree w/ streets, just get rid of the booster. U could also try recesing the mc into the fire wall a little for a custom look.
