    New fuel gauge problem.

     



    I put a new sender and float and matching fuel gauge in my '54 (it is 12volt),got power in to gauge no power out to sender,has a good clean ground.Any ideas?

    Not knowing how your gauge is supposed to work I'd say its a bad gauge., what if any reading do you get if you simply ground the wire back to the sending unit. that should make the gauge go full sweep one way or the other. You can even do this test right at the gauge. This will tell you if there's a problem in the wire back to the tank. Hope this helps you, Hank
