74 Dodge Dart Ignition Switch Replacement

    Hey all
My neighbor kid has a 1974 Dodge Dart, that the ignition switch just spins around like it's broken. He bought a new switch, but can't figure out how to install it. He said there is no hole with a set screw to pull the old switch out. The guys at Napa weren't helpfull either saying there are several pullers availible, but they are not sure which one he should buy to the tune of 50.00.
I told him I'd post here to see if any of you knows which one to buy or if there is some other way to get the old one out,etc.. He's on a fixed budget. Thanks, Steve.

I think tha the puller that they told him that he needed is for the sterring wheel that has to be removd in order to replace the switch. and be sure to tell him to check the rod that runs from the switch (key switch)

I checked at my local Auto Zone and they had one from Grant for $6.99.

Thanks for the reply, but he's no longer my neighbor. He was arrested by the FBI at 1 a.m. along with his girlfriend for check fraud and embezzelment! This happened about three or 4 months ago. A week later his Dad showed up and towed the car home. Been awefully quiet over there now! If he ever gets out I will pass this info on to him!
