reverse lights inop
ok this is a pretty simple question. My backup lights on my 1981 c-10 pickup do no come on when i shift into reverse (th350). To my knowlege this truck shouldn't even have a prndl/neutral switch. It was a column shift, now it is a floor shift. Where should the circuit go that controls the function of the lights? It can't just have power and ground or else they would stay on all the time. there must be a switch somewhere. I have had little luck finding wiring diags.Last edited by zero_presence; 06-12-2008 at 11:09 AM.

Take a look on the lower part of the steering column, about 6 or 8 inches from the firewall. That is where mine is located, just two wires in a plug that plugs into the switch.
