No, being excited about your build and all the hard work you did is not silly.
The grin on your face is though.
Congrads, your car looks great. What a fun family thing you can do now with it.

It's just awesome. What a beautiful ride and to know it's a family project makes it even more special.
My kids are grown, but I still enjoy working on "their cars" with them. My daughter (who is nor 26) used to sit on the fender of what ever I was working on and by the hour ask me, "daddy, what this?" I'm glad that we had that time in the garage together. She's also helped me build motors and one year for Christmas, surprised me with a new exhaust system for a car we were working on. She called one of my buddies and they trailered the car to the shop when I was out of town on business and had it back in the garage without my knowing about it. They still tell stories at the muffler shop about "the cute little girl that came in and ordered up a 2-1/2 inch system with a crossover and turbo mufflers."
My son will be 22 on Christmas day (yes - next too Jesus, my son was the best Christmas present ever!) Just got his 71 C10 from the paint shop and I always look forward to helping him with his truck. We're going to re-jet his Edelbrock Thunder series carb this week (they seem to run a bit rich out of the box) and hopefully visit a local upholstery guy to pick out some fabrick for a new interior.
Cherish the time with your children. I've never met a man who said, "I just spent too much time with my kids..." I get a lump just reading your posts.
Count your blessings - it sounds like they include a wonderful wife and some great kids!
Best Regards,
Glenn

Beaytiful 39 buddy. Looks like you are doing everything right including the family in your efforts. My brother dan and I have been lucky to be part of hot rodding for 30 plus years with our dad. Don't take a minute for granted. Love your car! Don JrDon Jr.

That's just too cool. Ride and the story. I have an 8 year old niece that's laid claim to the Vette and isn't afraid to get dirty "working" on it. Have fun man.Last edited by Dream Ride; 11-28-2008 at 07:27 AM.
