motor mounts
Hi, I am building a 71 cuda at work, and im making motor mounts for it. does anyone know what kind of rubber and what hardness level is normally used for motor mounts?

Depending on how much vibration you want to live with, you can use most anything for a cushion....or nothing at all... I've used poly bushings on engine mounts, a bit more vibration but with the more solid mounting of the engine and trans it does tend to take some flex out of the unibody structure on acceleration...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

thanks! i actually order some polyurethan from McMaster, but the stuff i ordered was wayyy too hard haha. its like a block of plastic. Do you have any idea what hardness rating would work the best? its not a race car. the stuff i got is 75D...from what i know the next level down in A's, and i htink that goes from about 25-65. Thanks for the help!
