    v-bent windshields in 37-39 chevy suck !!!

Man!!!! these windshields are the biggest bitch to install, bought a v-bent windshield for my 39 chevy coupefrom auto city classic, called about it not fitting, they didn't have a clue on how to install the windshield. I finally had to have it ground down 1/4" total on the sides to get it come close to fitting, then after getting it in , the bend in the lower end of the winshield is not even close to the factory pinch weld bend , so the gasket is puckering bad there. over all, I don't think itthat good of a fit & auto city classic won't stand behind there windshields & would not reccomend it to anyone.
any else installed one of these v-bent windshields in a 37-39 chevy ??what was your expierence?& the fit?

When I read you were dealing with Auto City Classic and that you had a bad experience it was no surprise to me. I have found them to be rude, arrogant, cocky etc. I purchased a windshield from them this spring at a swap meet, when they brought out the windshield from their truck I asked if I could look at it to make sure there were no ripples. The glass comes covered in plastic. Their reply to my request was "Take it or leave it". The windshield has a very slight curvature to it so I felt the chance of ripples was small and did buy it. The glass looks fine, as a customer I certaily cannot say the same about my experience with Auto City Classic! In the future I will avoid them.
