Getting The Doors off this old Ford
I've had this car since high school. My dad and I have kept it original as possible so far. Can anyone explain how to properly remove the doors off of my 1954 Ford? Unbolting the hinges is simple enough... The linkage connecting the door frame to the door stop (spring mechanism) inside the door is the problem. I think there is a couter pin on the back side of the spring, but is there a trick to compressing the spring and removing the tension?
I'm in need of help, and don't want to damage the classic ride. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all of your help.Chris Zaharis

the best way is to use a small pry bar to hold tension on the spring while removing the pin putting the spring back on will be a pain keep plenty of bandages on hand i scraped a few knuckles returnin the spring back.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
