Does he see something we don't? If he could get $150 he should sell, $190 per ton for a whole car where I live.

It should be Dumpster bound - when a fire does that to a car the physical characteristics of the steel have changed too much to make it a usable/repairable car, Pantara or not.
The fire annealed the steel and this is the simple definition: "a heat treatment that alters the microstructure of a material causing changes in properties such as strength and hardness"
This was an uncontrolled anneal so in other words, it's junk!!!!!
The sad part - someone will probably buy this car and try to restore itDave W
