    Lightbulb Weekemd progress part 1

I’m not going to be doing any major projects until I get the new shop built, but I have a hard time sitting around on the weekends. I decided this weekend to get the LY1 I pulled from a wrecked Vette and went thru a few years ago onto the run stand and break in the cam.

It’s .040 over with the original steel crank, 2.02 heads with screw in studs guide plates etc etc. The original intake valve covers and distributor had been stolen prior to me picking it up so I put on an old 70’s era Edelbrock intake and AFB from a 401 Buick and a set of log manifolds .

It sounds real healthy and may either go in a 79 El Camino I trying to pick up or an 87 Ram 50 that’s in the back shed and the shop and a certain old Dodge truck is done.
