    Fan Temp. switch

I purchased dual spal fans, and a fan harness kit with relays. The problem is, I cant find a place to put the temp. switch. The switch is 3/8" NPT. I have a 327 with camel hump heads and a performer RPM intake. The intake has a threaded hole in the front but it is too large for this temp. switch. Am I overlooking any possible places to put this switch into? Can I simply buy a new temp switch that is larger in diameter so I can put it in the intake ? The instructions say this switch closes at 185 and opens at 165. Thanks for your help.

The hole is probably 1/2 inch NPT. Simply go to any hardware store and get a bronze reducer to go from 1/2 (assuming that is what it is) to your 3/8 NPT and you will be home free. Well, not exactly free, it will cost you about 40 cents.

There should be a pipe plug in one or both of the heads. See photo for example.

I found the best spot to be the front of the intake and the head the second choice. On/off temps seem a bit low. Dakota Digital makes a nice fand control for single or dual fans(you can split functions for A/C or step control for low and high temp) It uses the temp sensor for you water temp gauge and you don't have to worry about where to place another temp sensor. But beware it is preprogrammed for popular gauges. It can be programmed for many applications but it is difficult.
