    63 pontiac catalina limo project

So I have had this car for about eight years and have been slowly working on it among all the other project cars I have worked on for people. Now this past summer I have been hittin it hard. I really want to finish up this project. Thought I would put up some pics and see what everyone thinks about it. If you have any suggestions or comments on it let me know.

Don't know where this car was from originally. I saved it from the scraper in Vancouver Wa. The side of the car was painted Spokane Skyhawks Soccer Club. I would like to find out its history.

Now that is really different, and pretty cool too. You never hardly see any '63 Pontiac full size cars. I had a '63 Bonneville convertible in the late '60's and I would love to own another one, but the prices are astronomical, and I can't remember seeing any for sale, same goes for hardtops.

You really have guts taking on something of that size, and I love your body rotisserie!!

Are you going to Trick the interior or leave it as a shuttle ?

So far my idea is to get rid of all the shuttle seating.. believe me there was no leg room at all. Maybe a leave the stock bench at the rear doors and then a wrap around seat behind the driver area lookin backward. Sorta like a normal limo with a 60s retro look inside.. And its not going to be a black or white limo which are the norm.

I loveeeee it. Back in the late 70's a boneyard near me had a Pontiac similar to yours and they had a Pontiac w/6 doors running down each side. Talk about being LONGGGGGGGG....joe

You just pegged the cool meter. The body looks really solid. Talk about a great vehicle for a football tailgate party!

I built the rotisery in my shop from scrap metal laying aroung the house. I didn't know if it would work but tried it anyways. Worth a shoot right? I pretty much eyed the center point and was really close once it was finished. Very little effort it took to turn it and once you turned it where needed it would not roll over on its own. I then put an axle and wheels and a hitch on it so I could tow it to the media blaster about 30 miles. He was amazed at how well balanced it was. I only built it to make his job easier but it also made mine as well and my trailer is not long enough for the body of the car.. The body with no front end is about 20feet and has a 16foot wheel base.
