    Here's another thought.

I'm real sure this would be hard to fill. With the smaller tank bottom bellow the main tank....but filling the main tank. Will this work? Also...piping from one to the other....what size neck and hose would you guys use. The hose will have to be fuel safe. 2"? 3"? I can use 2"X 30" aluminum pipe between the two....with short rubber pieces at the ends to tie to the tank.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Dave G

Your right....I need to just make a decision and go with it. I've got such a mix of scenario's.

I was really hoping for 30 gallons total. For extended trips. Guess its not really all that necessary but sure would be nice.

Can you guys tell I'm just a wee bit fickle? LOL's.

    Thanks,

    Problem solved I think.

    Weight transfer.
    Large capacity...30+ gallons
    Keep most of bed.
    Nothing hanging from bottom.
Have to buy my wife some Italian platform shoes. (BTW...she reads my posts....so I'm just teasing her)

Had to make some obvious changes that I didnt notice. (Dad isnt a mechanic but he sure squared me away. ) It seems I might need to make a means of removal. Thumbs up. Thanks dad!

The only thing that worries me a little is how I'm going to attach the bed wood above the tank. Thinking about using a 1/8" plate over the tank only....and placing the bed stip bolts thru it. I'll lose about 1/2" space for the nuts to clear the top of the tank but I can live with that. Cross sill are out of the question unless I'm willing to raise the bed another 2". Not sure that'll look right.

I suggest you build a little bath tub around the EFI pick up to make sure that fuel stays around it on acceleration when the fuel level gets below the upright part of the tank. Would be real easy to do, here is a picture of one sold by Tanks Inc as an example.

Thanks Pat. How are you doing? Hows that beautiful red head....Stude?

I had already bought the Tanks PA kit. Wish I had save a $ or 2 by just buying the Walbro 340 and making up my own set-up, but lesson learned I suppose.

The Tanks unit has a small hole in the end of the tray....they call it an auxillery feed...thats all thats in the notes. I'm not sure why you would want a feed in the bottom unless theyre talking about the return line. If so, I'd rather use the verical return line. I'll have to call them.

Thanks for the tip. Oh....and really thanks for the help on the LS. I am absolutely tickled with the look of the Corvette aluminum mounts. They should polish up real nice!

What is the dimensions of those tanks? How did you plumb them together?

Studebaker is doing great. See the pic below cruising Virgina St during Hot August Nights. I just had it out last night to support a local charity event. Even after 2.5 years it still thrills me when I punch it it.

Glad to see progress is coming on your project, you are gonna love the way it runs. It is sure gonna be a sweet ride!

Not sure what the auxilliary feed means, unless it is just another way for fuel to get into the tray besides over the top.

With all of those lights I'm having trouble seeing for the glare.

I bet you had a blast.

I'm not plugging along as fast as I had been.....I dislike cold weather. Worked outside in it for years so I'm a little spoiled with my recent desk job. But I am still getting out.

I took the tank drawings and the batwing from the vette rear to the guy thats doing my tig welding. I'm starting to get exited. Hope to start the motor soon.

I'm barely able to type....eyes keep slamming shut. Hope you enjoy that nice weather!
