Stilll here
Hi everyone. I am still walking and talking, but no building! I had a stroke two years ago and I still haven't recovered completely. I did go out in our makeshift garage and uncovered the Essex the other day. Then just sat on a seat and dreamed, and wished, and remembered. Later, in the cave, I dug out all of the books and files I have on the build, all of the parts lists and such. Really pining away now, wishing for the abilities that I've lost. I have pretty much decided to offer it for sale, along with all of the parts I've accumulated. It breaks my heart, but short of winning the lottery, nothing will happen now. My 5 Grandchildren are interested, but no one has money to start going again. sigh. My thanks to everyone that has followed along on the build through the years, I've had fun, not only in building, but in keeping up with the posts on Club Hot Rod.
I have to give a big thank you to my friend and mentor, Jim Robinson of Titusville, FL. I probably couldn't have done what I have without all of his help and input. Thanks again my Friend Jim.Too old to work, Too poor to quit.
