I went and bought a small bottle of the g/flex epoxy today, a little pricey, but we`ll see how it goes. I applied it to metal and leather, but it`s still not set as of right now, so i guess ill have to wait till tomorrow to see if it works for my needs.
If it works it looks like ill be in for around a 100 bucks a gallon, plus leather, paint, and 1/2" wide flat thread, if i can find any, why are these hobbies so pricey?

I am not sure what you are trying to end up with but I wanted to mention this product.
3M 5200. Its an adhesive caulk. It sticks to everything and is like rubber when cured (in 7 days)
It is very expensive.
This is no ordinary adhisive caulk, its murder to get off. Its the best thing of its kind I have ever used. Its weather proof too.
They use it in the marine industry.

5200 is great stuff! Stands up to heat and uv light too, as well as salt water. You figure any marine product has to be pretty tuff to stand up to the environment it is exposed to. We used it in the Florida Keys for all sorts of boat stuff, from tranducers as mentioned above to patching cracks in fiberglass. Great stuff and been around for years!" Maybe penetrating epoxy. I think its called Smiths. Try a boat yard or marine supply. Very thin like water and will penetrate deep down.
Who tests your armour ?
