Garage workshop
I have rented houses over the years and have always had my tools stored in cardboard boxes. Well, I built a house (finally) and have been outfitting my garage with scraps from the house built. The whole cost so far has been under 1000 dollars. I have bought folding closet doors for 5.00 a pair at garage sales. Hinges and drawer guides for the cabinets came from garage sales as well. The cabinets were easy to build and very adaptable. I have 3 roll around work stations- 1 for welding, 1 for tool holding, and 1 for parts storage. There is also a tool crib for my power tools, a tool cabinet for my woodworking tools, and a cabinet for all my automotive supplies ( paint, cleaners, anti freeze, wax, battery charger, jacks, stands). Now it seems I need a bigger garage for all the things I find myself building. If anyone is interested in some of the plan ideas, I would be willing to share.
