    Angry Piston pins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright..........WTF!!!!!! I have been trying and trying to get the wrist pins out of my pistons, and I am beyond fed up with NO results. Does anybody know any secrets. They are just standard push pins, <no retainers> so cant they be hammered out?

    oh man...

you are f***ing up at 100 mph!!!

Buy a manual, take a class, hire a mechanic, do something before you destroy some perfectly good parts.

The rod pins are PRESS FIT like streets said, they need to be warmed and caressed to come out correctly (hey, little girl, you want some candy?)

Otherwise, you will have to buy new rods AND pistons, which really is not a bad thing...just more money.
Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...

ok, ok......maybe i should have specified.......these are the sh*tty pistons that I will be replacing. I want to salvage the rods, but the pistons can be trashed. I am fully aware of the damage that I could potentially be doing, thats why I am so fed up, and need advice on removal. Thank you though....I never thought of heating.

so for heating....i would just heat the small end of the rod for a min or so, then try to push the pin out? Thats it?
