Those are not an add on item. The drip edge is where the roof and sides join. Cutting or grinding them off can create problems with your roof and side panel alignments. It will take a very experienced welder to fix that seam if they are ground off. I don't know anyone that makes new drip edges,Onward Through The Fog!

Seen a forum where a guy rebuilt his on a Coupe or it was a sedan been a while . First he welded down a small piece of round stock 1/4 inch i believe . To this he fabbed up some small flat stock and welded it to that . With some grinding it all looked great. The weld filled edges and with the grinding it was real hard to tell they were not original . I will search it out on the forum and bookmark it if i find it .
