Hello everbody,
I've found a new 8.8" rear end from a 99 explorer.
I am hooking up my 99 ranger and am trying to find out if the rear end will fit. I know the width will be correct as the two vehicles share the same frame....but the seller said there is a 4" offset on the center section...Does anyone know if there are two different rear ends for the 2-wheel and the 4-wheel drive models.....I have a 2-wheel drive and am worried the offset is due to the transfer case setup......I would really like some help from anyone who can answer this....

99 ranger:
3" belltech suspension drop kit
15 x 8" American racing wagon wheels w/ Goodyear Eagle GT-2 255/60/15s
swaped the 3.0L w/ 4.0L
hedman headers
K&N intake
keystone hood ducted to intake

this gives quite a kick in the A** but I'm tearing up my rear end / torque converter & tranny (still the AOD junk) anyone with any suggestions on beefing this thing up before I put some real HP in it????
