Pull either valve cover and find the casting number. It's probably an eight digit number beginning with 10, 12 or 14.
Then go to mortec.com and find the casting number for a description.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Stock your 1989 5.7 TBI Had #14102193 Heads . They are called Swirl Port Heads . They are 76cc Chambers with 1.94"in/1.50"ex Valves . Not a Performance Head but good for Low end Torque and MPG .
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
