Pictures of new tires on car. Question

These are 15x10 wheels with 3.75 inch backspace with big ole 31x16.5x15 tires. In the picture it's harder to notice but the wheel/tire kinda tilts "in" at the top of the wheel and tire What causes this? My plan is to go to a 15x12 wheel with a larger backspace of 4.25 to 4.5 inch so this will make the wheel center closer to the middle of the wheel. Will that stop this look?

Hopefully the tilt in is just an illusion because of the angle of the body panel!!!! If not, probably a bent rear housing, usually called by welding the brackets on in a hurry and twisting the housing out of shape with the heat. I'd suggest a straight edge and a good level or angle finder to see if the wheel is actually tilting in, then start checking things closely!!!!

Sounds like a dumb question, don't mean it as an insult at all, but did you get the wheel and the lug nuts on correctly??? Possible that a lug or two bottomed out, or something got between the wheel and the mounting flange on the axle and made it crooked????? Weird to look at, wish I could see things in person sometimes, huh????

Is the car sitting level - sounds dumb but check the frame at the same place on each side.

Are your wheels the unilug type with an elongated lug hole that fits both the Ford and Chebbie pattern? I had trouble with a pair of these, 15x10s with 12" tires plus being wire wheels, several years ago on a Ford 8" diff and had what appears to maybe be the same problem - they hung on the axle flange until they were properly centered - a PITA (also to keep clean) so I got rid of them
