How to tub a 35 Ford coupe
I have a 35 Ford coupe and want to put small tubs in it to get slicks on the rear. Modifying the frame is no problem, but I am not quite sue how to modify the subrails in the body. Has anyone done this to this type of body? How do I gusset and strengthen the subrail area of the body when I cut it out to move it? What modifications are involved?

Shouldn't be any more then just shortening the reinforcements to the correct length, adding the tubs, and welding the body reinforcements to the new tubs. You'll want to support and brace the floor quite well before cutting things apart. Might want to get a lot of different measurements so things go back together straight and square....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I tried rubber isolators between the frame and pump, but it made little difference. I don't mind spinning the motor over to refill the carb(s), it allows time to build oil pressure, jmho..
