    Engine Swap

I have a 86 Chevy P/U 305/350 trans and would like to swap it for a 430/400 trans from a 69 Electra.... Will it work? Is it a fit? Any info would be appreciated

I guess I don't understand the "Is it a fit" and "Will it work" parts.

Sure it will work, and it can be made to fit. It will for certain take some amount of fabrication in "Motor Mounts" and transmission "Cross Member". But it will work.

One of the problems is the transmission, but it sounds like you are going to install the tranny from the Buick along with the 430, look e there one problem solved already.

You just need to see were you are. Get the small block out of there and lower the Buick and the Turbo 400 down in there and see what you need to do for mounts and a cross member. Get um fabbed and the hard part is done.

Now if you meant be "Is It A Fit" that is it a bolt in swap the the easy answer would be "NO".
