Chevy rotors on Mustang ll spindles??
This is what I have. I am going to rebuild the whole thing and I remember that the bearings in the Chevy rotor didnt seem to fit tightly on the Mustang spindles.
Is it possible that the guy before me that put this together didnt use the correct bearings?
If you have any experience here I would love to hear from you.

It's possible, I've used a similar adapter for the caliper many times and never had any problems with bearings.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

So the bearings for the chevy rotor bearings fit no problem on the Mustang spindles?

Not sure on your application... Could be the reworked rotors, haven't used them for years. The rotors we use are made expressly for the MII spindles and can be ordered with either 4 1/2 or 4 3/4 bolt circle. Haven't used the modified Granada rotors for years, don't remember what the bearing numbers were.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

i did Granada rotors on a 55 chevy spindle the outer small bearing was the same spindle size was the same. bigger inner spindle bearing was not i just call a local bearing company and they solid me tapper bearings. i gave them the bearing numbers and told them the size by measuring the spindle size OD and it was done with out to much work .so i would thing you could go the other wayIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Madddog, If your rotors are chevy bolt pattern there is a possibility that the wrong bearing races are in them. If who ever first put the car together whent to the junk yard or parts store and bought chevy rotors and didn't change the races to the mustang II races the rotors won't go on the spindle as far as it should. The GM rotors are one inch thick and the granada are 7/8 so the GM calipers are more suited to the Gm rotors as apposed to using the Ford rotors with GM calipers . The piston in the caliper has to make up for the thinner Ford rotor.
